Enforce Your Ending

I had a lot of fun writing this week’s poem, which is the 41st in this series and was inspired by ‘Worried About Ray’ by The Hoosiers, which I’ve embedded below so you can listen while you read, if you like! I hope you enjoy reading this one.

Remember To Live

We’ve made it to the 40th entry in this song-inspired series of poems! I hope you enjoy reading this one – and listening to the song that inspired it, ‘Long Live The Queen’ by Frank Turner, which I’ve embedded below as always so you can listen while you read if you like. It’s a little bit of an abstract one, I think, which I hope is as interesting to read as it was to write!

Walk & Listen – Or Not

Welcome back to my series of song-inspired poems! We’re at 39 this week, very close to 40 (and therefore 50, which will mark me being a quarter done with this project!). This poem does centre a lot around sound and hearing, which I feel works quite well for a poem in this series–as well as it, obviously, being inspired by this week’s song, ‘Get The Funk Out’ by Extreme. I hope you enjoy reading through this one!

Ink From Stardust

I’m back with another song-inspired poem this week! This one seemed to go in a more meta direction, which was interesting to write, and I hope it’s also quite interesting to read! We’re up to the 38th poem in this series and, as ever, you’ll find the song that it was inspired by embedded below, as well as links to the previous and first poems in this series.

The Same Sun

There has been yet more sunlight in my life, so it has once again crossed into this poem, just like it did last time with ‘Moderation’, although in a different way in this one, I think. Regardless, I hope you enjoy reading this poem – it’s the thirty-seventh entry in this series of song-inspired poems!

Moderation

It has finally started getting a little bit brighter outside in the mornings and the evenings (i.e., when I’m usually outside) so I think that appreciation for sunlight has been making its way into my writing a little bit. In any case, I hope you enjoy the thirty-sixth entry into my series of song-inspired poems!

Shadow Of Mine

I’ve got another song-inspired poem for you this week! This one was inspired by ‘Black Hole In My Mind’ by The Lillingtons, and it’s a bit of a fun one concerning shadows. I hope you enjoy reading it, and, as ever, I’ve embedded the song below so you can have a listen as well!

Waking Dreams

After a little bit of a hiatus going into the new year, I’m back with more song-inspired poems! This is the thirty-fourth entry in this series, and it was inspired by ‘Made of Stone’ by The Stone Roses, which, as ever, I’ve embedded into the post below, so feel free to give it a listen while you’re reading – and I hope you enjoy this poem!

Sit Beside Me

We’re up to thirty-three entries in this song-inspired series of poems! There’s a bit of a repeat of artists between this poem and the previous one, as both of the songs that inspired these poems have been by My Chemical Romance, so that’s an interesting little connection there – but we’ve moved away from the topic of memory and onto a more ‘present’ poem, so I hope you enjoy reading through this week’s entry!

Who Are You Remembering?

It’s been a busy couple of weeks, but I’m back with the thirty-second entry in this series of song-inspired poems! This one was inspired by ‘The Kids From Yesterday – Dan P. Carter Mix’ by My Chemical Romance, and I’ve once again managed to get onto the topic of memory. I hope that you enjoy reading through this one!
