Lighter Fluid, as I’ll always say, is a bittersweet love letter to my British high school experience. It began as a project on Tapas.io, then blossomed into something far longer and deeper than I’d expected. As my first novella, it’s a short insight into my life during teenagedom. Lots of the experiences within it are inspired by reality. Real people, real problems, real messed-up situations. Some is exaggerated or invented, of course, and some has been changed. But Lighter Fluid will always have truth at its heart.

Guilt, love and betrayal are all explored within this emotional story about teenagers, their actions and the sometimes devastating consequences.
