If you’re following me on Instagram, Threads or Facebook, then you might have seen an excerpt from the unconventionally formatted short story ‘The Cat’ on your feed this week – if not, don’t worry, because in this post you can read that short story in its entirety! It’s from my upcoming collection ‘Purgatory, Fangs & Rabbit Trails’, which focuses on short stories concerning afterlife, whether that’s purgatory, vampiric second life or godly interventions in varying forms. This story falls into the last category, and I hope you enjoy it!

Duke’s Descent
I know that we’ve been on a roll with the poetry posts over the last few weeks, but I’ve decided to give you something a bit different today – a short story! This one has an interesting background too, as it was actually the first time I tried out writing the character of Duke, who is the main character in The Horse Who Fell in Scorland. He’s in a similar setting but a pretty different situation in this short story, and I think it’s quite interesting to see how far the idea developed between this short story and the novella. So, I hope you enjoy Duke’s Descent!
Chained Soul – Part One
We’ve got an exciting new development this week! Welcome to part one of a new serialised novel that I’ll be releasing right here on the blog! You can also read this series at Tapas or Wattpad, in case one of those is your preferred reading platform – I’m open to any other suggestions, too! Quick warning: this series does contain strong language, so if that’s not your thing, you’re free to skip this one!
EUTR – It Itches In The Dark
Today we’ve got the fourth short story from my upcoming LGBT+ short story/advice collection, Everything Under The Rainbow! You can find out more about it on my Upcoming Releases page – just click here! It Itches In The Dark covers the problem of gender dysphoria, specifically for trans males around their chests. As a trans man who struggles with chest-related gender dysphoria myself, it was a bit of a tough write, but definitely worth it. Read on to find out how Cyrus deals with his gender dysphoria keeping him awake in It Itches In The Dark!
As The Bunny Flies
This short story is a little bit of an experiment by me. It’s a dabble into the absurd, covering a fantastical afterlife through the eyes of a confused little boy. Fever Dream Journal published it on their website–you can find it here! I hope you enjoy reading it!
