Arms

This week, I’ve got a nice little poem about feeling safe in someone’s arms for you. Don’t forget to check out Commute if you’d like to read more of my poetry!

Arms

There is no warmer place
than in your arms–there,
I am sheltered from the world.

There, I don’t have to think
and my breath is filtered
through the fibres of your jumper.

There, if I close my eyes,
all is nothing and all is you,
and you act as my lifeline.

There is no safer place
than in your arms–there,
I feel genuinely at peace.
